Live it Up Super Greens Recalled Over Possible Salmonella Contamination

Superfoods, Inc., doing business as Live it Up (New York, NY), has issued a recall of Live it Up Super Greens products due to potential contamination with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause serious illness, especially in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

The recall covers Super Greens Original and Wild Berry flavors, including pouches and stick packs.

Products included in the recall

The recall applies to:

  • Live it Up Super Greens Original (8.5 oz pouch)
  • Live it Up Super Greens Original (30-count stick packs)
  • Live it Up Super Greens Wild Berry (9.49 oz pouch)
  • Live it Up Super Greens Wild Berry (30-count stick packs)

The products are packaged in green pouches, with lot codes printed in black on the bottom back of the package.

How to identify recalled lots

  • Pouch lots: lot codes beginning with the letter “A”
  • Stick packs: all stick pack products, with lot codes beginning with the number “3”
  • Expiration dates: 08/2026 through 01/2028

Where the product was sold

According to the company, the recalled products were sold nationwide in the U.S., including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and were also sold to consumers in the United Kingdom.

Sales occurred through the company’s direct-to-consumer website (since September 2024) and Amazon.com (since July 30, 2025).

The company also noted possible unauthorized third-party resale through sites such as eBay and Walmart.com.

Reported illnesses

As of the initial recall announcement, the company reported 45 illnesses and 12 hospitalizations.

The FDA and CDC indicated the outbreak may be linked to Live it Up Super Greens.

What consumers should do

Consumers who purchased the recalled product should stop using it immediately and dispose of it – do not eat, sell, or serve it

Customers may request a refund by emailing: recall@artofenso.com. (Include your name, order number, and a photo showing the lot code.)

Investigation status

The company reported that production has been suspended while it and the FDA continue investigating the source of the contamination. No other Live it Up products were included in the recall at the time of the announcement.
